Fabrication: Amateur MIG, TIG, stick, and oxy-acetylene welder (also used oxy-propone and plasma torch for cutting) (~50 hours total); Basic metal shop experience (~50 hours); Safety and Basic Use of Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) plasma torch (4 hours), metal lathe (3 hours) and 3D printer (3 hours), carpentry and construction (400 hours), CNC router (60 hours). Did electrical, plumbing, siding, roofing, and finish work on my tiny house on wheels
Computer: Proficient in all major MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); Developing CAD skills (have ~80 hours with Google Sketchup, FreeCAD, and AutoDesk Inventor); 1 Semester GIS experience using ArcGIS 10; Familiar with CorelDRAW, and CADèCAM/CNC
Emergency/Medical: Received Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training covering disaster preparedness, fire safety and utility controls, disaster medical operations and triage, light search and rescue operations, disaster psychology, team organization, terrorism etc. (21 hours class time);Participated in Triangle Krav Maga’s 3-day Active Shooter workshop and trained for 12 hours in how to deal with a mass shooting scenario when a firearm is not available.
Fitness/Sports: ~4.0 tennis player; competent rock climber (~5.10); some experience following trad and sport. Excellent skier (started when I was 2); have experience skiing in the backcountry; PADI certified Scuba diver (did my open water dives in the Cayman Islands). I golf about 4x my age, but I can play.
